Dr. Natalie Cort, a research grade psychiatric diagnostician, has been an investigator, consultant, intervention developer, and clinician on federally-funded research trials. She directs the Black Mental Health Graduate Academy, a mentoring program to cultivate Black leaders in the psychology and mental health counseling fields.

Dr. Wendi Cross is a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center. A clinical psychologist, educator and researcher, Dr. Cross collaborates with investigators on a variety of projects.

Professor, University of Rochester

Dr. John Cullen is the Director of Diversity and Inclusion for the Clinical and Translational Science Institute at the University of Rochester Medical Center, and Associate Director of the Susan B. Anthony Center at the University of Rochester. He has an extensive background in LGBTQ health disparities and advocacy.

Stephanie Gibbs advises healthcare payers and state agencies on Medicaid, aging and disability, and health equity best practices and innovations to optimize healthcare outcomes and experiences for vulnerable populations. She was a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Fellow at Senator Tim Kaine’s office in Washington, D.C.

Smriti Jacob is a seasoned journalist and editor. She is co-founder and managing editor of the Rochester Beacon, a digital nonprofit news venture, and owns a solo content marketing business.  A staunch advocate for developing the next generation of journalists, she teaches journalism at the University of Rochester and St. John Fisher University.

Mona Mittal, Ph.D.

Associate Professor, University of Maryland

Dr. Mona Mittal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Science, School of Public Health, at the University of Maryland. She is Core Faculty at the Center for Health Families, which provides mental health services. Dr. Mittal’s expertise includes  LGBTQ+ mental health and promoting and producing population-related research.

Professor, University of Rochester

Dr. Ellen Poleshuck is Professor of Psychiatry and Obstetrics/Gynecology and Academic Chief of the Division of Collaborative Care and Wellness at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Her research focuses on the development, evaluation, and implementation of integrated treatments for OB/GYN patients with depression and co-occurring concerns.

Dr. Susan Redditt is a Behavioral and Mental Health Consultant at the Children’s Institute in Rochester, New York. She has expertise across the fields of education, special education, general social work, substance use recovery, trauma-informed practice, social justice, racial and cultural identities, and civic engagement.

Camille Quinn, Ph.D.

Senior Scholar, Georgetown Law

Dr. Camille Quinn is a Senior Scholar at the Center on Gender Justice & Opportunity at Georgetown Law.  A health criminologist, she focuses on the health and mental health equity of Black adolescents and young adults at the intersections of race, gender, health, crime and system involvement.

Dr. Marsha Wittink is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Family Medicine and Academic Chief of the Division of Medicine in Psychiatry at the University of Rochester’s Medical Center. Her research is driven by her experiences navigating the silos of medical and psychiatric care.
